Change: Growing Through What God Is Doing

Change is rarely easy. Even when we know God is leading us into something better, the process can feel uncomfortable, stretching, and even painful. I am currently in a season of
change. I’m learning how to think, act, and respond differently, and it’s painful! Change challenges you in many ways and on many levels. But life has taught me that growth always
begins in the very places where I feel most challenged. If you stay the course, there’s growth on the other side.

Many of us resist change because it asks something of us. It asks us to let go of old habits, familiar reactions, comfortable routines, and ways of thinking that may no longer be
helping us become who God has called us to be. Change challenges us on many levels. It challenges us emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and sometimes even relationally.

Yet the truth remains: we cannot grow without change. Spiritual maturity often requires us to stay open when we would rather shut down, stay teachable when pride wants to rise up,
and remain steadfast when the journey feels longer than expected. God is patient with us in the process, and He is faithful to complete the work He has started in us.

Philippians 1:6 -Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Where might God be inviting you to think, act, or respond differently in this season?

Prayer
God, help me to stay open, stay teachable, stay involved, and remain steadfast. Give me the courage to embrace the changes you are using to shape me. Help me trust that there is growth on the other side and remind me that I do not walk through change alone. Amen
